Working with my archival prints, I distress the photographs by folding/unfolding, and using other physical strategies until the work assumes a structure in space encompassing flexibility, fragility, light and shadows.

Informed by the shapes in a botanical garden, I used the folding/unfolding as a parallel to observed plant growth patterns. My work intentionally draws strength from its unprotected vulnerability, the fragile nature of folded paper and unframed paper's visual affinity with skin.
