1930's studio photographer

gelatin on glass negative, printed 1970′s, Don Friedman

found photograph, rescued from the trash bin of a 1930′s society photographer’s studio. a relative was cleaning out the store and Don retrieved and restored a few of the gelatin on glass plate negatives. at the upper left the damaged gelatin shows up as a trace of the original process. this print was a gift to me and became one of my treasured stories. here the scan reveals the bride in her glory, though the original print is so dark that she and her calla lillies are barely visible. who was she? was she happy?
